What Is It? Why?

The Italian Shrimp Contest is an idea of Vincenzo Spasiano, founder of Aquarium Shrimp House and some of his friends.

Te real spirit of this event is to bring together breeders and Italian fans in a sane competition, and to give people the opportunity to discover the wonderful world of freshwater aquariology.

To achieve our goals we are supported from national and international companies of this fantastic world.

The judges team consists of two Italian and two International judjes from different countries.


Where It Is?

Anzio is a city and on the coast of the Lazio region of Italy, and is about 51 km south of Rome. Anzio and the nearby Nettuno are famous for the battle of World War II‘s Italian Campaign, that took place on January 22nd 1944, with the Allied amphibious landing known as Operation Shingle.

Not so far from the location there is a possibility to visit the British Beach Head War Cemetery in Anzio and the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno.

Anzio is connected to Rome by the Via Nettunense (SS207), the Via Ardeatina (SS601) and by the Roma-Nettuno railway that connects Anzio with Roma Termini in around 1 hour.

Ferries and hydrofoils connect Anzio to the beautiful Ponza.
